I’m sure we’ve all heard of public picnic’s in the park, but this weekend (Friday 15th and Saturday 16th August) see’s a treat for UK poker players with the annual Poker in the Park event. The event will be held at Londons Leicester Square, and is sure to draw a massive amount of poker players. Poker pro’s will also be in attendance to chat to poker players, sign autographs, and there will be hourly seminars on poker.
Players can take part in live tournament poker, with several free poker tournaments available. Sponsors PKR Poker will have a poker dome, which will host free hourly 90 seat texas hold’em sit n go tournaments. Eleven events are scheduled by PKR poker, in which poker players can pit thier skills against other players, for free! There will be professional dealers, huge live screens outside, and I hear that massages will be available by Ibiza Angels!
This is a great opportunity all round not only to play poker, but also to get those autographs and chat to the pro’s of poker. Big names that will be in attendance include; Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott, Ian Frazer, Tony Holden, Paul Jackson, Liv Boeree, Nik Persaud, Neil Channing, and Tom Sambrook.
There will also be a shop where you can buy all your poker paraphanalia, including books, clothing etc. Definately an event not to be missed. Opening hours are Friday 15th August from 16:00 to 21:00, and Saturday 16th August from 10:30 am to 18:30 pm.
